Crain’s Chicago Business covers PGP representation of UroPartners
Crain’s Chicago Business, the premier business journal in Chicagoland, covered Physician Growth Partners’ (“PGP”) recent representation of UroPartners LLC in its February 3, 2023 edition. The publication’s regular Health Pulse column, which covers the healthcare industry, ran the following summary of UroPartners’ tie-up with Solaris Health:
“Chicago-based urology practice UroPartners has joined up with Solaris Health Partners, the largest private equity-backed urology platform in the U.S., according to a statement from Physician Growth Partners, which advised UroPartners. With more than 75 providers at nearly 40 locations in northern Illinois and southeast Wisconsin, UroPartners is the Midwest’s largest independent urology practice, the statement said. Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Solaris is a portfolio company of New York-based Lee Equity, with more than 500 medical providers in 11 states, before this transaction. Terms were not disclosed. UroPartners President and CEO Dr. Richard G. Harris founded the practice in 2004. ‘UroPartners has been the dominant urological practice in the Chicago area for many years and is one of the largest independent urology practices in the U.S.,’ Chicago-based Physician Growth Partners’ Managing Partner Ezra Simons and Managing Director Robert Aprill said in a joint statement. Aprill said in the statement that this deal is one of the largest transactions the firm has worked on.”
